30 Aralık 2024 Pazartesi

Our PhD student Behice CANATAN and her advisor Assoc. Prof. Egemen İPEK from the Department of Finance and Banking, Faculty of Finance and Banking, have been entitled to be supported with their projects within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Program.
Project Title: Measuring the Multidimensional Structure of Digital Literacy in Turkey
Project Duration: 6 Months
Executor: Behice CANATAN (Tarsus University, PhD Program in Finance and Banking)
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Egemen İPEK (Tarsus University, Department of Finance and Banking)
In this project, a generalized subjective digital literacy index will be created in Turkey in order to provide a synthesis of various aspects of digital literacy, which is the competence to use these technologies in parallel with technological developments. In addition, the project will enable to investigate which competencies make digital literacy and its constituent components possible. Thus, a reliable, up-to-date, comprehensive, consistent and comparable scale will be developed to measure digital literacy at the household level and at the national level. The results to be obtained from the project are expected to guide policy makers in the formulation of data-based digital literacy policies.
